GERMAN VERSION NEW EU REGULATION FOR AFLATOXINECONTROLS  »
From April 17, 2012 onwards a change in the Aflatoxine control procedures will take place. All shipments of almond from the USA must be accompanied by a certificate stating that goods are suitable for human consumption. The VASP certificate will be accepted as such statement. Any goods without the certificate will be rejected and can not enter the EU territory. Previously any merchandise without a VASP certificate could enter after an inspection and testing by EU official phytosanitary services.
